One of the most photographed statues in Recoleta Cemetery, mainly because of its innocence & its location… the Francisco Gómez family vault is on the junction of two broad walkways leading to the tomb of Eva Perón.

152. dragonflies

Surprisingly enough, mid-January is dragonfly season in Buenos Aires. It’s hard to believe that a large urban area can support a dragonfly population, but for a short period they are easy to find. The photo below is not one of my best, but I was surprised to see one of these brown & blue beauties relaxing for a few seconds:
